Many legendary press images capturing our magnificent seven were taken here on Elstree Studios back lot. Almost four decades later, they’re still used to promote the series via various forms of media.Beyond EastEnders train bridge (trivia 18) marks another key position on Elstree Studios back lot. This was the location where we see Dennis and Bomber approach Helmut and his German colleagues and tentatively request financial assistance to help towards Neville’s bail in episode 6, ‘The Accused’ (image 37a).This position also served the location for one such promotional photograph capturing a ‘mean and moody’ Magnificent Seven and was featured on the classic front cover of the 1988 Volume 3 VHS release of ‘Suspicion’ / ‘Home Thoughts from Abroad’ (image 37b).
